Letter O for orange peel
See the used orange half? It will keep cats from digging or
using your garden as a litter box and killing the plants.
Better than throwing your shoe at the cats and ruining your
plants. When they decay, they become compost and
replenish with another peel.

Green Decorating Tips for Your Garden
Green Decorating Tips for Your Garden
Being green is really in at the moment and more and more people are catching the green bug. There are many aspects of your regular life that you can alter in order to be more environmentally friendly. In fact, many companies have found great success in recent times by selling products aimed at this specific market. When it comes to outdoor decorating, you can find plenty of ways to make your garden more eco-friendly and we can tell you how.
1. Replace old lighting fixtures with better ones
The old bulbs that were used for various lighting fixtures were never too energy efficient. Nowadays you have much better alternatives that you can install in your outdoor fixtures or even your umbrella
. Some people avoid them because they are usually more expensive than the old ones, but they also last for a lot longer so you end up with a bargain in the long run.
2. Use recycled materials
Recycled materials can be used to craft many items that would look right at home in your garden or patio. Wrought iron is used for many furniture pieces and, if you are interested in a new deck, you can have one made from reclaimed or recycled timber.
3. Install new technology
Again, this step might seem a bit expensive at first, but the aim of new technology is to save resources. For example, you can install motion sensors for exterior lighting that will only light up the areas with people. This will end up saving you money on electricity bills. There are other systems designed to save you energy, as well, including some that allow you direct access using a smartphone or a tablet.
Whenever you are looking to spruce up your garden with a few new features, check out http://www.yescomusa.com for a wide selection of items that will make your garden look better than ever.

The Most Beautiful Disasters To Photograph-- Life In An Image
The Most Beautiful Disasters To Photograph-- Life In An Image
The concept of a natural disaster is something the is terrible in the idea of what it truly is—but captured in an image—it can carry a sense or beauty in the perspective of nature. Photography equipment from companies like www.yescomusa.com can lead to images that turn tragedy into a reflection of hope for the future.
Natural disaster cause a lot of damage, but it would be a naïve thought to say there is nothing about them that is good. They generate the very idea that we can survive, we can rebuild, and this alone invigorates hope. The image of invigorate hope can last forever.
If you're looking to be a serious photographer, check out retailers like www.yescomusa.com for professional photography equipment. Having the right equipment and taking the best picture possible are what's going to turn tragedy into triumph. Also, taking great pictures of anything is going to help you get your name out there - even natural disasters photos require a good camera.
Beautiful disasters to photograph
1. Tsunamis- A giant wave can be incredibly devastating to any landmass, but aquatic life and destruction can be beautiful as well. It also teaches the value of hope and the ability to overcome.
2. Volcanos- All right, so call me a pyro, but volcanos are beautiful. Lava is something you don’t see every day, and the flow of such substance is unique and rare.
3. Tornados- The damage they do is terrible, the skies they develop however, are things that you will never see unless you happen to see one in person.
4. Hurricanes- The most devastating natural disaster in the recent span of time, these deliver pure sadness and destruction, they are powerful, and they are the very idea of sorrow being thrown at the world.
Pain and suffering and power are the strongest concepts to deliver in the still of an image. By taking these ideas and applying them to the world’s most powerful forces, the outcome is beauty from pain

Save the world: Cats Toxoplasmosis
Toxoplasmosis – Can Your Cat Make You Sick?
This is quite a worrying thought.
Cats are host for T. gondii, the parasite can complete its life cycle and reproduce using the cat as the host. The eggs are called oocysts and are passed through cat feces into the environment, where they can infect additional cats and other warm-blooded creatures. If the conditions are right, the oocysts can persist for quite some time in the soil.
Pregnant women who become infected may pass the infection on to the developing fetus, resulting in birth defects. Symptoms in these children may include nervous system disorders, premature birth, hearing loss, anemia, and retinal damage. You may have heard that pregnant women should avoid litter boxes (or more accurately, cat feces),

classic dish
Classic dish of my area. Taro/yam with belly of pork. Taro
was a food eaten during the war, boiled and eaten without
any dressing. The Pasifika and the Maories treat it as
delicacy and boiled with coconut milk. I am a freedom
person, and follow no rules. Here's my take.

garden snails
My favourite snail meal was in Sibu when we just moved back to the Embang road house after many many years. Rose's family were staying with us, Elizabeth's family came to help clear the land and put up the fence. There were so many garden snails and it was super delicious. I was only 11 so I don't know how it was cooked but it was one of the yummiest meal.
I saw on Gordon Ramsay's cooking show that you can pick up the garden snail from the garden. Keep spraying your garden with water all the time and snails will turn up especially those places out of the sun. Then feed the snails with water constantly for 3 days until the snails' dropping turns orange. That means that it is clean to eat.
We have so many many snails along our road footpath after the rain. Big and mini ones. I always say we must harvest them, but Jessie don't like me scavenging off the road. Jessie is embarrassed that I pick up things like throw out tricycles and fish pond. They are still good to use, just old.
by my youngest sister Grace.
Snail slime has been elevated from the garden, and is now being
claimed as the new miracle face-fixer in the U.S.
While creams containing snail slime have been popular in Korea
and Africa for a few years, brands such as Missha, Dr. Jart+ and
Labcconte have begun to bring them to the US.
Primarily marketed as an acne solution, the shelled slug's mucus
is also believed to reduce pigmentation and scarring, as well as
beat wrinkles.
Snail slime-based beauty products have been used sporadically
since the Ancient Greeks recognised its potential, with
Hippocrates reportedly recommending crushed snails to relieve
inflamed skin.
I bought a jar topday.
